Iphone 12 capturing 9MP photos

After upgrading to IOS 15 I realized that my iPhone 12 had been capturing all my photos, despite my old phone (iPhone SE 1st gen) capturing in 12MP. Out of curiosity, I checked my moms' phone and it had also shown 12MP. Is there any software fix to this or should I send a support ticket to T-Mobile?

Never mind, I just had to turn off 16:9 and use 4:3
