I can’t tap button for screen share

When FaceTiming the screen share button is there, but not light up and does not let me click it. Any advice?

Hello Baileyfromfaribault,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, when using FaceTime you can't share screens.

You came from a pretty good resource for the issue: Share your screen in FaceTime on your iPhone or iPad

As mentioned there, when you're sharing screens others won't be able to see content that requires a subscription, a free trial, or a purchase or rental to view.

What are you trying to share exactly? Do both parties have access to this content? Meaning, the exact subscription for the app?

Both or all parties involved would require an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 15.1 or later.

"FaceTime and some FaceTime features might not be available in all countries or regions."

If it doesn't provide the option to share screens, do you have any restrictions enabled in Screen Time by chance? You can see them enabled in Settings > Screen Time. Are you able to disable these restrictions and test it out? What happens when you attempt to do this?

Hoping to hear back, take care.
