Which Processor?

I am sure this has been asked already but I have not been able to ferret out an answer. What is the real world difference between (example) a 3.8GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7 and a 3.6GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9 running in an iMac 27"? 95% of my work is in Photoshop.

CPU question for cMP - difference between 5,1 CPUs & i series CPU on MBP? What i5 2.3GHz processor is in the 2017 iMac? What i5 2.3GHz processor is in the 2017 iMac? Why does Apple not clearly identify the processor as other producers do? I like to know what processor is in the product before I purchase.

I'd go for the Mac with the most RAM as that will make the most "real-world" difference using Photoshop.

You may want to Google for bench mark tests of these two CPUs.

I was hoping for some “real world” interpretation of the processors relating to using Photoshop. Which way would you go?
