“AsyncSocketException” error while trying to open FB on my iPad

Getting a “AsyncSocketException” error while trying to open FB on my iPad

have already deleted the Facebook app, and re-booted my iPad, and tried to relaunch FB but I receive a “AsyncSocketException” error. Recr() failed, internal error, Erron=54 (connection reset by peer)

I don’t know what that means and I use FB on my iPad at home. Everything seems to work on my iMac and iPhone, just not the iPad. What can I do?

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We've reviewed your question and it looks like you are unable to open Facebook on your iPad. It's understandable that you'd want this resolved, so allow us to assist with that. We do see that you have another posting here in the Communities forum about the same error occurring on your Mac with Facebook. Since this oil occurring on two different devices, this is more likely to be a network issue. We advise checking to see if you can load the program on another network, on either your iPad or Mac, as that would let you know more about the cause.

These steps could also help: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.
