How durable are the iPhone 13 cameras?

Apple recommended not to mount iPhones with OIS cameras on high engine motorcycles as it might damage the cameras. This leads to the question for everyday use, how durable are these iPhone cameras with OIS? Does shaking the phones a lot damage it in any way? Or am I just overthinking things?

Hi Michael,

The iPhone camera has moving parts. There is also a built-in image stabilizer which is not a stationary part. Bottom line, anything that has moving parts should not be stirred, shaken or vibrated in high frequency. How durable is the camera? The answer is relative to who is asking and how that person defines durability. The camera is durable for normal handheld use. Any special uses of the entire iPhone should be assessed by the user based on the task. You have actually done this by contacting Apple.
