2021 m1 Mac mini with Huawei 34" ultra wide pixelated view help?!

Hi guys,

I had originally purchased a new iMac m1 but just found the screen too small after having a larger older version. So I decided the best thing to do was sell and I ordered a new Mac mini.

I had read a lot of issues with people trying to run 49" ultra wide so I opted for a 34" ultra wide.

I decided on the new Huawei 34" MateView gt and have tried running it through a cdmi, usb c to usb c and now running usb c to display port which appears to be the best results so far.

I am running 3440 x 1440 with a refresh rate of 165 hz.

However, I am just really disappointed with the quality of the picture. Videos seem to be good quality, however I am mainly using the system for work and am finding text, logos etc all seem very pixelated.

I am now very technical minded when it comes to this type of thing so although I tried to do my research as best as possible, I am obviously missing something.

Am I seeing these poor results because of the screen I have?

If so what would I need to look for?

I alsi had a play with switch res software but again doesnt seem to have improved.
