Phone heating up when charging

Is there something wrong with my phone. I been heating up since I got it.

All phones will heat when they charge, but they should never get too hot to hold. Charging a battery will generate heat. Is the device only heating like this when you charge? Are you using the MagSafe charger, or something else? Are you using a genuine Apple charger?
