How to stop automatic iOS update downloads?

How, and why does this continue even with automatic updates OFF?! It steals space, data, and TIME from customers. If we want to update it's no more work to manually initiate!

If you have turned off Automatic Updates in Settings>General>Software Updates, the iPhone will not update without user intervention. While the iPhone will download the updates when they are released, so long as the device is connected to wi-fi and power, it will not install them without user intervention.


You can share your thoughts with Apple about downloads by going to their feedback page, www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html. This is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here. That is the only place they will see your comments/desires.
