Applying Template to Existing Document in Pages mac?

Hi

I just made a new template in Pages and wont to apply it to other documents that are using older templates. Do I just have to create a new document with the new template and copy from the old document.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.0

Opening a template creates a new document from that template. You can't 'apply' the new template to an existing document. But you can,as you have suggested, create a new document using the template, then copy the content from an existing document and paste it into the new one.

Use Paste and Match Style as your Paste command to have the pasted text adopt the style defined in the new document.
