Driving Focus not working

I used to use Do Not Disturb when driving, it would automatically turn on when my iPhone 7 would connect to my cars Bluetooth but turn off if I connect to CarPlay. Since they updated it to the Drive Focus I can’t get it to turn on automatically with Bluetooth. It will turn on while sensing driving but won’t shut off when connected to CarPlay. I’ve tried all the usually fixes but can’t get it to work. Any help or info would be appreciated.

Hello AngelGirl4Jake,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about Focus. We're happy to check this out with you.

First, please start with checking the settings: Stay focused while driving with iPhone - Apple Support

If the settings are correct to "When Connected to Car Bluetooth: When your iPhone is connected to a car’s Bluetooth system."

Then the next steps are to disabled this setting.

Then restart your device: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Then go back and re-set up Focus with the correct setting as you want. Let us know if you still need help. Thanks.
