How to disable stolen iPhone?

Bought an Apple iPhone from Apple Memorial City, Houston in December 2020 with the following details;

IPHONE 12 PRO MAX GRPHT 128GB-USA

Part Number: MGCF3LL/A

Serial Number: F2*****D3Y

The iPhone was stolen a few days ago and was never used and still in the box.

Is there anyway it can be disabled with the above numbers (or any other way) to prevent the thief from using it ?

Any suggestions on what else can be done ?

Thanks.

If it was never set up or activated, I don’t see any way to block it. Since it was never taken out of the box, the thief has a phone that is brand new from a store.

Just curious where you had this phone that you bought almost a year ago that someone could steal it from you.
