Is this iPhone I bought stolen?

i bought an iphone from a friend of mine and going to let my dad use it but im just making sure the phone isnt stolen or will be black listed?

Apple doesn't take reports of stolen devices.

Apple doesn't maintain any black list.

You will need to contact your cellular carrier.

It is not a good idea to post personal information on the internet.

As Johnathan Burger has mentioned, you will need to contact a cellular provider with this IMEI number to see if it is blacklisted with them. Not sure if providers share this information with other providers so you may need to contact your friend's provider (if different) in this case.


Also, did your friend proper prepare this iPhone for sale? Have them review the following support article and act on it, otherwise, the phone may be activation locked and totally useless to you/your father.
