IPhone 7 blocking all contacts

My mom has an IPhone 7. The phone blocks all of her contacts almost on a daily basis. We have tried unblocking them and restarting. We have updated the system and backed up the phone. We did these things just yesterday and today she texted and said all contacts were blocked this morning. She is 88 and in assisted living 30 minutes from my house. I have driven to her place twice this week and now I need to go again today. What can I do??
