How can I delete an app on i phone 12 from my library. I press and hold the appl, any app, in the library and delete is not an option. I have software version 14.8

If there is no delete option, there may be a restriction set on deleting apps. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps.
