how do i reset password even though its disabled. I cannot restore to factory setting du to the content on the
phone

Click here and follow the instructions. Restoring the iPhone requires plugging it into a computer with iTunes installed, or a Mac running Catalina or newer.
Any content on it which wasn't previously backed up is gone.
