how can iPhone ignore phone calls from a contact that you wish to have saved but not bug your phone line?

blocking the one number I am referring to is not possible because I just was asking about ignoring its call. I just wanted to silence all of their calls so is the only option to put iPhone on ‘Do Not Disturb’
I can’t. It’s a personal issue which is the only reason why I need the number saved
Huh? Blocking a number has absolutely nothing to do with saving it in Contacts.
