How do you change the slide size of just one slide?

I've spent a few hours trying to do this, but it seems impossible. I just want one slide to be in portrait, but the rest is already in landscape.

Keynote slide size is a project wide setting, it is unable to have a different setting for just one slide, or a group of slides.

The purpose of the slide size setting is to

  • match the resolution of Keynote to the display resolution
  • match the Keynote format to the format of the display being used

if using a vertical display, use a vertical setting

if using a horizontal display, use a horizontal setting

Therefore, crop, position and size the objects on the slide to maximise the objects size on the display.
