Does anybody know how to turn off the firewall on iPhone 11 with iOS 14? I had scanned the QR code for one of my kid’s magazines to order something and the firewall blocked it. The only way to get the order is through the QR code, as it’s an offer not available from the website. I’ve already googled it, but none of the conversations apply to my device or operating system; it didn’t work.

That “Firewall Blocked It” text looks like an intermediate box is involved here, quite possibly a network firewall installed by the HOA. The destination web server is unlikely to block arriving connections, and particularly with this error. Try a different path to the destination web server (such as cellular), and check with the HOA.

The firewall built into iOS cannot be turned off for security reasons.
It is a minimal firewall designed to block unrequested connections or probes.
Post the actual wording of the error message or as posted above, give us a screenshot.

I don’t have any additional security software or a vpn installed. I tried while only using data and it didn’t work. The Internet is provided to our area via the HOA, but since it didn’t work while I was only using data, I’m not sure if that would affect it.
iPhone doesn’t have a firewall that does this, though the fraudulent website blocking available within Safari can display warnings, and add-on ad-blocking apps can block these accesses. If there’s an add-on VPN installed, or an add-on “security” app is installed (which hook in as VPNs), then remove that and try again.
If somebody else is running a network firewall, then they can absolutely block all sorts of stuff, particularly if the initial connection uses HTTP and not HTTPS, or if the firewall is using DNS-based blocking. Appeal to them, or switch to cellular or some other path.
Edit anything sensitive, and post a screenshot of the failure.

If on a wifi network, do you have security software installed or active on it?
Did you try doing it over the cellular network with wifi off?
