Microsoft Office goes by the license and device. So, transferring it may or may not be an option. So, I'd say ask Microsoft. They are the developer of Office.

Start Here:  Microsoft Contact Us Virtual Agent - Microsoft Support. Perform a chat session with Microsoft using a computer, as it would be more user-friendly doing so.

What version of Microsoft Office do you have (or do you subscribe to Microsoft 365)?

If you have Office 2011 or earlier, note that it will not run on a new Mac that is running macOS Monterey.
