Quick look shows only file properties, doesn't play them

In Mac OS 12.0.1 the quick look function doesn't want to play MOV video files

Does safe-boot help? Any virus apps, "cleaners", VPN etc malware installed?

Quick Look not working with .mp4 files in OS 10.13.6 I recently upgraded the OS on my iMac to 10.13.6, and immediately one problem I've noticed is that Quick Look is less functional that it was in 10.11. Specifically, if I try to Quick Look at an mp4 file, all I now get is a perpetual circling wheel. The preview never appears. Doubly odd in that, on a 2012 MacBookPro with the same OS, the Quick Look opens mp4 files just fine.

No QuickView for Adobe CC file formats in OS Monterey - anyone taking responsibility yet? As a graphic artist, my disks are filled with thousands of vector content files, and I constantly use QuickView when searching for and inserting files with the right, specific content into my work. As our IT Dept. have now upgraded my Macs to OS Monterey, this top important functionality is lost! All searches on the net reveal only frustrated attempts at random workarounds, - but no definitive answers from the two main responsible sellers: Apple and Adobe!? Previously, a possible solution for showing the content of e.g. .indd and .ai files has been the commercial QuickView Plugin ‘Art View 3’ from Code Line. But they also seem to have stopped working on updates some time during OS Catalina. So - Apple, when will you and Adobe show some real intent to continue this functionality that you used to buy us with, initially?

Check the movies with MediaInfo or Invisor.

Maybe those .mov files have H.265 Codec ID hev1 instead H.265 Codec ID hvc1?

Or Chroma subsampling 4:2:2 (Bit depth 10 bits) instead 4:2:0 (Bit depth 8 bits)?

nope, regular h264 with 4:2:0 8 bit from Sony A7III. There are no any problems before the latest update
