Using FaceTime on MacBook Air

Hello, I have my iPhone 12 and my MacBook Air synced up together and receive FaceTime calls which I like to use on my MacBook as the screen is larger. The only problem I have is I constantly hear crackling noises as I'm talking. I've tried but have NO idea how to fix this. Any ideas are appreciated.

Hello Capricorn100,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with sound when on FaceTime calls using your Mac. When the noise occurs, are you using headphones or does the sound come from your Mac's speakers? If you're using Bluetooth headphones, try the steps listed here to see if they help: Use a Bluetooth headset with your Mac

If this occurs through the speakers, check out these steps: If the internal speakers on your Mac aren't working

If the issue persists, test to see if this occurs in another user account on your Mac: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
