iPhone 8 abnormal battery drain since iOS 14.7.1

Hi,

My iPhone have been draining battery abnormally since 14.7.1 update and no further update has helped so far. I tried ALL technical solutions possible to correct this behaviour without any result, so this is the last chance for me to get any support.

The most interesting is that - never ever any iPhone did it in the past with battery problems - during completely SWITCHED OFF or in flight mode it drains battery more than 40% (!) within appr. 8 hours during night. It uses no apps at all or nothing, so how it can loose almost the half of battery % ?!

My original iPhone 8 was replaced in Nov. 2020 under warranty, so I even tried to ask if Vodafone can repair it in September this year, but refused to do anything - the original phone's warranty has ended...

I have no idea what is going on with my phone as the battery is still 86%. I want to buy the latest iPhone, but first I need to know what is going on with the present one.

Thank you for any help.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer, but I have checked the apps several times and everything is and has been ok, the shown apps are not consuming battery as it can be seen. The phone was replaced with a totally new one, only my older phone's ID's were transferred (Apple use this method, instead of repairing phones giving new ones with the same ID numbers. The old phone dropped networks randomly, that was the problem).

That is why I wrote that hopefully I have tried all known methods that can consume battery, but the problem should be something weird. The day before the update everything was fine with battery drain.

Hello,

Hmm, don't know. Have you checked for rogue apps running in the background?

Go to Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.

Otherwise, your phone was replaced about a year ago, correct? Was the replacement new? If not, the battery could be several years old. So, you might consider a battery replacement:

Good luck.
