Hello friends, today I made a big mistake. When I tried to make a backup of my main hardrive in time machine I chose my Thunderbolt-Raid as a backup drive and deleted it. I realized my stupid mistake after some seconds and disconnected the Thunderbolt drive but I man afraidd 30Tb of data lost. What can I do? I am afraid to connect the Thunderbolt again to my Mac mini with Big Sur.
The backup had not really started yet.

You could connect again and just be sure that TM box backup automatically is not checked. Then in TM preferences "remove" the drive to be uses as a TM. Then reconnect and see if you can access the data.

i was trying to make space on the external hard drive, and tried to delete files. The ocmputer quit recongnizing it when it was attached via cable ... How do I get it to 'see' it again?
I am currently using another laptop to back up on the external backup drive, hoping this will help.
