Deleted phone app from Home Screen

I accidentally deleted the phone app icon from my Home Screen. How do I get it back. I went to the App Store and held it down but that option didn’t work. P

You cannot delete the Phone app.

Don't reset your layout or you'll lose all your current organization.

The app should reside in the App Library, just bring it back to your Home Screen

From your Home Screen, swipe left until you get to the App Library.

Swipe downward and you'll get an alphabetical list of your apps.

Locate the app in the list or type the app name into the search field

Once you've located the app, tap/hold until it raises/selects, then drag it and it'll pop out to your Home Screen

I am assuming that you are using iOS version 14/15.

The Phone app cannot be deleted. The Phone app still exists in the App Library. The App Library is the Last Home Screen when you continue to SWIPE LEFT (on the home screen) until you reach it. Once you are in the App Library, then you can locate the Phone app and then TOUCH, HOLD and DRAG the app out of there and place it on to your favorite part of the Home Screen.

Reset the Home Screen Layout:

If the Phone widget has gone missing somehow, then you need to reset the Home Screen Layout...

Go Here: Move and Organize Apps on iPhone - Apple Support

You'd have to add back all the widgets that you can recall being back on there.

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout
