How can I block spam mail containing certain words in the subject line?

You can create custom rules to move those messages to Junk or delete them outright.
You could also use a different spam filter, like Spam Sieve.
You cannot "block" email from within an email client. You have to have your email provider block it on the server, which usually isn't possible.
