About 10-15 years ago I bought tons of music in iTunes, but when I open that app, I only see a fraction of what I used to have. I still use the same apple ID. What do you recommend doing?

If you don't have any old backups, use the re-download procedure. If you are still using the same Apple ID, are in the same country, and the content is still available, you should be able to redownload fresh copies at no charge. Follow the steps in here:
