Can you transcribe a voice memo to pages?

Pages is not a voice transcription application. Search in the Mac App Store: voice transcription. Ensure that the output of the transcription is content you can either open. or drop it onto a pages document. Proprietary formats won't fly here.

You can drag and drop an Apple Voice Recording onto an open Pages v11.2 document and it will embed. The Pages document will be the only document format to retain this voice recording as it will not export to PDF, EPUB, or Word (without a secondary folder).

I believe that Apple's dictation feature listens through a microphone, and blocks all other input sound sources while recording. If that is the case, the first paragraph applies.

Is the idea that you want someone to be able to hear your voice while they are reading a Pages doc?
