Vertical line on the iMac display 27
a thin vertical line of red color has appeared on the left side of the monitor, can anyone tell me if it is possible to remove it with some action or is the display to be replaced?

Last time I saw a small thin line of pixels it was the display panel. Plus over time it widened to 2, 3, 4 pixels and then started in a second spot on the display.
Best bet, is to make an appointment at your local Apple Store or AASP and have it look at.
Likely a failed or failing GPU. However please try to restart in Safe Mode ( Use Safe Mode to isolate issues with your Mac ) and see if that helps.
Yes, the problem is the external display because when I take a screen shot the line does not appear, I am already in contact with maintenance assistance but I have to wait for other iMacs to be available to get a new one. I tried the safe mode solution but got no results. Thanks for the advice.
Yes, then it is the display panel.
Now I’m curious, is this a new or fairly new 27” iMac?
well, I'll try and let you know. thanks for the advice.
