Lightning to 3.5mm headphone dongles fail after a few weeks of use, is there a fix?

Has anyone figured out a good solution to reliably connect wired heaphones to an iphone? I've had an iphone SE2 for leass than a year and had 8 sets of dongles stop working on me.

I've tried various designs and all of them were allegedly quality apple authorised manufacturers. Wireless bluetooth headphones are not an option because I have plenty of headphones I already like and I feel bluetooth are inferior to wired for a number of reasons such as they can run out of charge when you need them, they unnecessarily consume power, and I like having the cord so I don't drop them when I'm running.

What I really want is a case with a built in headphone jack but I can't find one, does anyone know a way around this issue or can recommend another brand of smartphone that still has a headphone jack?
