Hi,

Battery Replacements are free of charge as long as the following conditions are met:

  1. The affected product is currently covered by Apple’s Limited Warranty or has an active AppleCare+ agreement.
  2. The maximum capacity percentage for the affected product is under 80%. This can be confirmed within Settings > Battery.
  3. The affected product has failed diagnostic testing for Battery Health. Diagnostics must be ran, and can be done by calling Apple Support, at an Apple Retail Store, or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

If the product passes diagnostic testing, it is deemed ineligible for battery service covered under the Limited Warranty or AC+. You may then request a battery replacement as a paid repair, which means you will pay the Out of Warranty pricing for that battery replacement.

*As a reminder, ensure you are always running the latest iOS software on the affected product to resolve any issues with battery runtime.
