old device cracked screen transfer to new device

screen is broken, trying to transfer data from broken screen phone to replacement phone

You cannot do so since that device has a broken screen. You must have a functional display on your old device to input response in order to use quick start, or to manually make an iCloud or iTunes backup.

If you’ve been using iCloud automatic backups, you can set up the new device from your most recent iCloud backup.
