"Detect Displays" options doesn't show display numbering in Monterey

OS Version Monterey 12.0.1

PC version: 16" 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max

I suppose this is more of a bug report (I HOPE someone who cares at Apple monitors this forum)

When the Display Settings dialogue is open, you can hold the option key to reveal the Detect Displays option.

Clicking this option SHOULD show the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 on my screens so I can determine which screen is 2, 3 or 4

UNFORTUNATELY this DOES NOT WORK

Has anyone else observed this?

Will Apple fix this/ (I hope so)
