im trying to pair my watch series 3 to my iPhone 12. I’m getting a message to update watch’s ios. How can I if I’m not connected to the watch

Update your iPhone to iOS 15.1.1 Then pair your watch and you should be able to update the WatchOS once the phone pairs with your iPhone.
