Works on brand new iMac, and stoooed working on iPhone. Any correlation? I've updated the phone and powered on and off.

Please describe exactly what you are trying to do. iTunes on the iPhone does not play anything. iTunes is a store that you use to purchase or rent content.

iTunes is No More: For a more recent iPhone, the TV app is used for TV Shows and Movies, and the Music app is used for Music. So, if you cannot find iTunes, then that is why. Find Out More Here: What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support
Again, iTunes on the iPhone will not play anything, it is a store. The Music app is what you play music with.
What happens when you try? Have you downloaded music to your iPhone? Do you see an error when you open the Music app and try to play music? Do you have an Apple Music subscription?
I tired to no avail. Thanks for your help. This seems to be an unheard of unknown issue, so I will try Apple iTunes support tomorrow. Thanks!
iTunes will open on the phone, however it will not play anything. The only thing that has changes is I have a new iMac that I've been using iTunes on
thats correct, we appreciate the clarification. Songs will not play on the iphone.
It states 'not playing'. Long term monthly subscriber, haven't seen this before. Works on my iMac just not phone

Try signing out of your Apple ID, power the iPhone off and back on again. Then sign back into your Apple ID and see if Apple Music works. Make sure that you are connected to the internet to be able to use Apple Music.
