My Focus status wont turn off

The only thing that does work (for some reason) is turning it off for each individual iMessage conversation! I’ve done that for most of my frequent contacts.

hopefully it will be fixed soon. Apple are aware of the issue.

This has to be a bug in the recent update or something. I always have automated / timed focus status; but today everyone is telling me my notifications are silenced all day. They’re not, I’m getting notifications, my focus’ options are all turned off… there’s no reason people should see the status that says my notifications are off. I’ve double checked everything, I’ve restarted, etc. nothing is turning off that status. Apple please fix :)

I have the same issue, all my focus modes are disabled and I have not shared across devices but my friends are gettting notification that my phone is silenced - and it is not.

Same issue here. Turned off sharing across devices and turned off focus status on all devices and focus modes and everyone still sees that I don’t have notifications on.

I don’t want my notifications on, but I don’t want people to know they’re not on because privacy

Yes, it’s awful. What a terrible half baked feature. Anyone that uses any focus shows up as silences for me all day, and vice versa. Turning off sharing doesn’t fix it. Apple has work to do here.

Same for me. Spent over an hour with support and no fix. Waiting for an engineer to call me back. Not hopeful. Only thing is what was written above. Disable for each contact. Useless feature and should be able to delete it. Never used it and don’t want to

I've done this however within a day or two , it's back on 😫 ! I don't have the time nor should I have to go into each contact turning this off manually every day . This is so annoying and frankly super inconvenient!!

yup, same here. this has been happening on all devices since the launch of the ios15 where they introduced the focus status feature! it’s so annoying!!
