REMOVE HIGHLIGHTING IN PAGES

I searched this forum for the answer to how to remove highlighting in a pages document and did not see the answer I eventually figure out: hover over the highlighted text and a comments box should appear. There is a delete / trash can in that box that takes the yellow highlight away but leaves the text as is.
