My ipad Pro (10.5 inch) does not turn off automatically

It is running latest 15.1. Auto lock set to 2 minutes, but even after 10 minutes, screen is still on.


I can turn off screen manually by pressing power button, or close the cover. Tried restart the ipad but no help.


What is the problem?

A forced-restart of your iPad may be beneficial - as this will often resolve an unexpected software issue:


  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
