M1 Macbook Pro 2020 - Escape key refuses to work

I found the solution!

It turns out when Siri silently crashes, she also take the ESC key with her! Regardless of input source, ESC no triggers nothing.

To fix simple turn Siri Off and On again from system preferences, or kill her process in Activity Monitor. Or restart your Mac.

This is a really strange problem. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I have the same issue. ESC key simple does nothing. There's no triggered response. Interestingly, this is also true for my separate bluetooth Apple Magic Keyboard. So this is software related, not hardware.

I'm still having this issue from time to time on both MacBook Air M1 and new MacBook Pro (M1 Pro).

Second that. It is not solved. It is a workaroud.
