How do I select all text to copy to clipboard?

Hi. How can I select all text of a page to copy to clipboard? Long press opens a context menu with "copy" - but only the highlighted area/word with handles. And fiddling those handles across a multi miles long page - come on...

I found this shortcut workaround

I am missing something, right?

There is no clipboard on the iPhone.

If you want to copy a hyperlink or text, please highlight it first and then click copy and paste in Note, Email, Pages etc.

In this case, the term copy to clipboard is used to indicate that what you want to copy (a hyperlink or text) is remembered by the iPhone's memory until you paste it somewhere.

Sorry I don't know another way to easily save whole pages / articles / of text effortlessly to iPhone.

Wondering which app(s) you are using when you want to select the text of a whole page in one go,

and where you will be pasting / using the copied text (same app or ?)

(It's easier on a Mac ... as "Select All" appears in the :Edit" menu of many apps.)

Apple support has articles online, relevant to various iPhone apps.

Thank you for letting us know your needs, and opinions, pinkchilla.

(Seems much of the text online is copyright, (and some may also be protected by code).

.The workaround suits me fine, less tabbing would be even better though.

There is always the option to send feedback to Apple.

Your feedback may reach those in a position to effect changes.

There's a webpage for sending feedback.

I have been struggling with the exact same issue every time when I edit some text on Notes. Luckily, today I accidentally entered couple of empty lines while copy/pasting some (manually) selected text and there it was - ’Select All’. It appeared when I pressed an empty line for a second and then lifted finger.. Coming to think of it, I remember seeing this solution somewher earlier…

Just go to an empty line on the text, or add an empty line if needed and press it for a second, then you have it. Works at least on Notes on ios 15.1.
