how to update my Mac ios

how can I update my Macbook pro , it is now having iOS 10.13.6 and for a couple of app updates, I need iOS 11.xx


But I'm not so handy and I don't know how I can update this. On my iPhone and iPads, the new updates appear automatically, but on my laptop it doesn't.


please help ;-(

Check the compatibility Section of that resource.


Create a backup


Scroll down to the section that says "use safari to download macos'


It all depends on your Mac and how old it is. It may just be its not eligible to update.

What's the model of your Mac? Verify the compatibility. If you cannot upgrade past High Sierra, then it is just not an option. This is because your Mac does not meet the hardware requirements to use Mojave
