Change the structure or rules for password generation in keychain

Hello, yogeshmistry.

Having nothing to compare Apple's keychain process to (never used anything else) I can only say that I've never felt any compelling reason to look elsewhere. My secure passwords get generated, saved and made available on all my devices. The only issue (really it's a non-issue) is that from time to time a website might complain that a password is too long, but that has never required that I edit or shorten a generated entry. I simply choose to save the pw and continue on.

As for adding notes or info to a pw entry, as far as I can tell there is no provision for this. It does appear there is a way to add a secure note to a keychain, though I don't know any specifics of that.

I didn't take your post as any sort of gripe at all, my friend.

Until just now I've never paid much attention to the random strings that the keychain generates on Mac. I see it's twenty characters, random from A-Z and 0-9. The only special characters are two –. So, good enough for most I suppose.
