Cannot print Ledger Paper

Hi there,

I searched through this already posted topic ( http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2128509&start=0&tstart=0) but did not find an answer.

I have installed the computer/copier for my MacBook Pro, and though the printer has Ledger printing capabilities and though my document is set up to for Ledger paper, my computer will not allow me to select or print on Ledger paper. The biggest size it will print is 8.5 x 14. In fact, when I choose to print for the printer (versus the default, "any printer"), the ledger option (that I had to create since it wasn't a standard option) is grayed out. I went to the printer website (toshiba) to download a driver, and that hasn't worked either.

I'm not sure if this is a mac issue or a toshiba issue, but can anyone offer advice?

Thanks!

As far as I know, this means that the driver doesn't receive the infos allowing it to 'understand' that the printer is able to treat ledger format.

To do its job the the driver issue a command asking the printer to 'explain' it what it is able to achieve.
The result is a group of bytes in which every bit is meaningful.
I guess that something is wrong in the deciphering of these bits.

When I was using an Apple //gs, I knew very well the contents of the printer drivers. Since the day I switched to macintosh, I never enter in an executable piece of code.

At this time, I don't know exactly which is the used printer.
I just know that Toshiba is unknow in the compatibility list delivered by Apple :

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3669

I found some sites offering numerous drivers for Toshiba :
http://nodevice.fr/driver/company/Toshiba/Printer.html
http://www.lostmydrivers.com/printers-drivers/toshiba/
http://www.downloadsource.net/c231/Toshiba/ (everything dated 2006)

Visiting them it will not hurt.

I entered the Toshiba web page :
http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/downloaddriversbios.jsp?service=FR

macOs doesn't appear in their list of operating systems.
