I see that you are now having success. Was that with the same photos that failed? Or different ones? Consider that the photo file type can create an issue. If you try and upload an Apple heic file, from your photo library, many sites will not accept that type. You must first convert the heic file to jpg, png, etc. The easiest way is to drag the photo from your photo library out onto your desktop. Then, just upload it from the desktop location instead.

Hi kahramanfromheusden-zolder,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help uploading images to websites on Safari. It sounds like it isn't working.

Where are the images located?

Have you tested with another Wi-Fi network or browser?

Do you have a VPN installed?

Try uploading while in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac. This can let us know if third-party software is interfering. If it works in safe mode, restart normally and test again.

Let us know how it goes.

Have a fantastic day!

Well, that makes things a bit tougher to pin down when there is confidence that all things work fine in Safe Mode but not with a normal boot up. 3rd party programs can still be the issue even though there is nothing showing under the "Login Items" list. Some programs use daemons running in the background and have no entry here. That makes pinning down the problem child tougher.

However, I see from your follow-up post below, that you closed Safari, reopened, and all seems good again. When you "closed Safari", did you actually do a force quit? If you just hit the red dot (upper left) that does not actually quit the app. To force quit use the menu and click Safari > Quit Safari or just press ⌘ Q (Command + Q).

Throughout all of this exchange, I don't see that any of us has asked... What site you are trying to upload photos to? There is always the possibility that the problem is on their end and not with your system at all.

If you did not experience the problem while in Safe Mode, only to have it return when you went back into regular mode, that suggests that you might have a conflicting app getting loaded up. In other words, Safe Mode only loads the stock Apple stuff, while regular mode allows 3rd party stuff to get loaded.

Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups. Select the Current User and them click on the Login Items button to see what, if anything, is loading up. Things showing in the list would NOT be loaded in safe mode.
