MacBook Pro 2012 update

I can’t sign in to App Store and iTunes, and I can’t update my MacBook, now it’s running OS X Mountain Lion, which is so old

That’s a shame… you could try either Mojave or El Capitan… here’s how to get either one: ( see link)

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683.. as is mentioned in the link, you should use Safari for downloading, as it opens the links automatically in the App Store…. Firefox & other browsers could work, but you have to tell it to open the link(s) with the App Store..

Your MBP will run up to and including macOS 10.15 Catalina. However, I recommend first going to OS 10.13 High Sierra. It is a very stability check that can help you get ready to go higher.


Then you can consider going to Mojave 10.14 or Catalina 10.15. Which you choose depends on what OLD apps you must retain. Mojave is the last macOS version that supports Office 2011 and older, and old versions of Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud. You can use this free tool to check your current apps for comparibility with Catalina:
