Salutations LisaWChess,

We undrestand that you have questions about marking a device as lost or stolen in the Find My app and reviewed If Find My iPhone or Find My iPad isn't enabled on your missing device.

Since only you, or someone signed in with your Apple ID, can mark a device as lost/stolen via the Find My app or iCloud website, you’ll be able to choose which device it is. When accessing the app from an iPhone, the phone you're on will be marked as 'This iPhone'. That isn't the iPhone you'd want to mark as lost.

Thank you.
