Apple Pen keeps taking input from my hand

Hello I just bought an iPad Pro, and I was wondering why when I use my pen it keeps taking input from my hand. This makes drawing and writing on the screen hard. Also why does it not have a mac os? This is why the surface is superior. Please help!!

Can you explain what makes you believe that an Apple Pencil is taking input from your hand? What is it doing? Why would the Pencil need Mac OS? Are you referring to the iPad?

Maybe you mean the iPad is taking input from your hand? If you have the Pencil in your hand and your hand-wrist on the iPad screen, it should not recognize your hand for input, it should recognize the Pencil, and ignore your hand on the screen.

Is the Pencil setup for drawing/writing only in the Settings app, under Apple Pencil settings?

iPads, for the foreseeable future, will continue to use iPadOS and NOT macOS.

This is the direction Applei is pursuing for all of its mobile devices and tablet devices.

iPadOS may get more macOS-like functionality, in the future, but this is only speculation and speculation about future Apple plans, products and software is prohibited here, per the User Agreement Terms of Use we all agree to when we all first sign up into these communities.

If you are NOT happy with your new Apple iPad Pro, if purchased from Apple, you have a 14 day, unconditional to return policy, from Apple, it for a full refund.
