text messaging on laptop not phone

I am trying to text a client, but do not want to receive the messages only on my phone. Several other people's messages, who are in my address book come in just fine. But not this one....

I need to receive a word doc on the laptop. Email is not working - either, so I am trying to get a google docs on my laptop. Do not want it on my phone.

why am I not able to get a text message to her from my laptop? She comes in fine on the phone..... ??
