Thank you very much for your reply. My question is related to a new purchase that I need to make sure I make the right decision. My plan is purchase a apple watch with Cellular and then a iPad with WIFI only. Should I want to use my IPad out of WIFI range then I would like to hot spot the watch to connect the iPad.
If this is possible that the two devices can accommodate hotspot (watch to IPad) and it's only the Cellular Provider that I need to make sure can provide hotspot functionality then that's easy.
Your plan as stated won't work. Where is the iPhone which you MUST own for your cellular watch to work, in this scenario. A cellular Apple Watch is not stand alone. It won't work at all without an iPhone.
