11” iPad Pro running iOS 15.1 does not recognize encrypted SSD via Finder with 2 partitions

Context: I am running a 4TB SanDisk external SSD which has 2 partitions. Both have been formatted as APFS Encrypted.

1.) 2TB partition for Time Machine.

2.) 2TB partition for everything else.

I am using my 11” iPad Pro running iPad OS 15.1 to access this drive. However my iPad only mounts the 2.) partition for everything else. But does not mount or recognize the other partition 1.).

Does anyone know if there is a manual way to get the drive to mount the partition that is not being recognized or is this is a limitation to the iPad OS not being able to recognize and mount 2 APFS encrypted partitions on the same SSD?

Thanks.

The iPad cannot read a Time Machine backup. You will need another macOS device for this.
