Can't delete Handy Calculator

I can't delete Handy Calculator. When I drag it to the Trash and try to delete it, it says I can't because it's OPEN. When I try to Force Quit, it doesn't show up on the list. I restarted the computer, and it still happens. (Mac Big Sur. Not MacBook as labeled below.)

iMac 24″, macOS 11.6

Shut down the computer. Then start up holding the Shift key. This may take some ~ minutes, be patient. After it boots, login as you normally do. You may see red text "safe boot" and the computer may run sluggishly, as accelerators are turned off.

Now try deleting the application (empty the trash).

Then,

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.

Click your account name below Current User, then click Login Items at the top of the window.

If the Calculator item is listed there, remove it.

Choose Apple menu > Restart.

Then restart normally and report back.
